RA: Hey!
Student: Hey. Can I talk to you about something?
RA: Yeah, come on in. What did you want to talk to me about?
Student: So, ah, I went out last night, ah with some friends from class. And, I guess I went home with this guy. But like, I was black out drunk, and I don’t remember anything that happened. And then this morning he kept talking about how good the sex was. But I wouldn’t have said yes to that, that’s not something I would do. And I’m freaking out right now because I didn’t see any condom wrappers anywhere and I’m not on the pill right now. So. I. Please don’t tell anyone! I feel like such an idiot. I shouldn’t have gotten that drunk.
RA: First of all - this was absolutely not your fault. Doesn’t matter how much you drank. And yes of course – it is just between you and me. There are a few places around that can help you out, including on campus as well. Ok?
Student: Yeah, ok. Uh. They’re not going to make me do like a rape kit or something are they? Cause I’m not sure I want to.
RA: You don’t have to do anything you don’t want to, ok. If you do decide to later on, I have the number for the nurse. I can go with ya if you like. There are a couple of things you might wanna think abut, like getting tested for STIs also taking the morning after pill.
Student: Yeah. I’m tired. Uh. I think I’m gonna go have some time to myself. And then I’ll come back and we can go.
RA: Whatever you need, I’m there for ya.
Student: Thanks.
